Rate & law updates

Minnesota workers' comp numbers change on a schedule. DLI publishes new rate tables most Octobers, and the legislature changes the underlying law from time to time. This is our running log of those changes and when the calculators were updated to match. For the full source table, see our sources page.

QRC and vendor directory refreshed from the state list

We refreshed the directory against the Department of Labor and Industry’s June 26, 2026 QRC and rehabilitation-vendor contact reports. Nine QRCs were added and ten removed to reflect firm moves and staffing changes (for example, several consultants moved to Omni Case Management, NexGen, and Directional Rehabilitation), and we updated phone numbers, emails, and firm names for current QRCs. The placement-vendor list now shows the 11 vendors still on the state report. UCWCP network status and language details were carried over for everyone who is still listed.

PPD schedule increase and 60 → 90 day denial window (2026 Chapter 103)

For dates of injury on or after October 1, 2026, every permanent partial disability (PPD) multiplier increased. The lowest tier rose from $114,260 to $137,240 and the top tier from $567,840 to $682,045. Our PPD calculator now selects the multiplier table by date of injury and shows which schedule it used. The window for an insurer to deny liability after it has started paying also grew from 60 to 90 days, and the deadline calculator now branches on the date of injury.

Answer to Claim Petition corrected to 30 days

The deadline for an Answer to a Claim Petition is 30 days after service under Minn. Stat. § 176.321 (as amended by 2024 c 97). The older 20-day figure still circulating on third-party sites is superseded; our deadline tool uses 30 days.
